Portfolio (IPS) - IPS Shared Portfolio for Unrelated Entities
IPS Shared Portfolio for Unrelated Entities

Shared portfolios can be created for multiple owners, either two or more unrelated entities. The ownership of the portfolio is equally divided between each entity. The portfolio has the same functions like an individual client portfolio. To increase clarity, joint portfolios are used for two related entities, such as a married couple.
A shared portfolio needs to be created manually between unrelated entities. Once the shared portfolio between the unrelated entities is created, you can access the portfolio page from either of the entities.
To create a shared portfolio between unrelated entities:
-
Access any page within the Portfolios menu.
-
Click on the Entity's name at the top of the page.
-
Select Create Shared Portfolio.

- Enter the name of the joint portfolio in the Shared Portfolio Name field.
- Select the owner of the portfolio in the Shared Owner field.
- Then select the unrelated entity by clicking on the search icon.

- Enter the name of the unrelated entity for the shared portfolio into the search box and click on the search icon.
- Click on the entities name.
- Select OK.

- The unrelated entity will appear in the Shared Owner field.
- Click Save.

The new shared portfolio owned between unrelated entities will be accessible from the entity list in portfolios. This portfolio has the same functionality like the clients portfolio including reporting, investment purchases and modelling.
