Client Management - Adding Clients: Client Group
Adding a Client Group in XPLAN Overview
The purpose of this guide is to provide instructions on how to create client relationships in XPLAN using Client Relationships/Grouping.

Each client has a single Client Group which defines which related XPLAN client entities are included for group-based analysis and reporting.
Each Client Group is separate, and group membership is one-directional. For example, if Frank Black is added to John Smith's Client Group, John Smith is not automatically added to Frank Black's Client Group. Each Client Group member must be manually added.
Partners are always treated as members of a client's Client Group, and cannot be excluded. In a client's Relationship Tree, the client entities with ticked checkboxes are members of the Client Group.
How to Create a Client Group
To link the Trust to the client’s file you need to be within the main entity’s Client Focus menu.
- While accessing the client, select Client Summary> Groups >Related Clients in the navigation menu.
- Any existing client relationships will be displayed. Click Edit.
- Now click on the Add icon next to the client’s name to add relationships.
- A pop-up box will appear to add the relationship.
- Select the Relationship Type.
- Type in the name of the client you want to search then click Search.
-
Select the searched entity and click OK
- The entity is selected, click on OK to save it.
- The client group will now show. Tick the box next to the entity.
- Click Save.
