Client Searching

Client Categories
The purpose of this guide is to provide instructions on using Categories in XPLAN. Client Category Overview Client Categories can be updated for clients at any point in the Advice Process. You would access Client Categories to record or update the status / category of your client.

Merging Clients
The merge client option in XPLAN is useful when you have more than one entity ID for a particular client. The details of two clients can be merged. This functionality will copy data from a source client to a target client. This can be used, for example, when two different advisers have created client entities for the same person.

Give an External Paraplanner Access to a Client
We’ve made it easy for you to give an external paraplanner access to a client’s data in your CRM (including all file notes) to enable them to prepare advice documentation. What’s more, you have complete control over when the external paraplanner’s access to the client is switched on and off.

No Contact Register
The No Contact Register allows an adviser to record details in Xplan against a particular client entity if the client does not wish to be contacted by the adviser at all or via a particular contact method.

Client Reporting

Management Reports
The purpose of this guide is to provide with you with instruction on how to generate management reports in XPLAN.
Management Reports can be used to generate a variety of reports such as client listing, insurance reports, task reports, practice management reports and portfolio reports. Each report will have their own parameters that can be used to select from which then determines what will be included in the reports. Parameters may include things such as date ranges, task types, filter options and sorting options.

File Notes
The purpose of this guide is to provide you with information and instructions on using XPLAN Notes.
You could be at any stage and need to record any contact with the client or upload documents to the client record. Notes are not only used for file notes. Notes are created for emails, phone calls, documents, client meetings and will help you ensure your client files are compliant and have all required documentation on file.

Search
The purpose of this guide is to provide instructions on using a Search Function in XPLAN for the following entities:
Financial Services Guide
FSG information in the Current FSG panel at Advice Process > FSG.
Furthermore, when a client’s FSG information is updated, each change is captured and displayed in the FSG History panel.
