Password Reset
The purpose of this guide is to provide instructions on how to reset your password. On odd occasions, you may find that you have forgotten your XPLAN login password. In these instances, you are
able to reset password by correctly answering 2 questions you have personally set.
How to set your custom password reset questions and answers
Each user must set their own password reset questions and answers. For the Password Reset functionality to work successfully, you must ensure that the answers you enter completely match the answers you have set. As such, it is recommended that you use questions that will have answers that you can easily remember correctly.
To set your custom questions and answers;
- Click on the Preferences option in the top right hand corner title bar on the main page of XPLAN. Your Preferences page will now appear.
- Using the left hand navigation menu, go to Accounts > Reset Password. The Password Reset Security Questions page will now download.
- Click on Edit in the top right hand corner.
- Set your questions and passwords in the fields supplied, ensuring that you have spelt and set your answers in the same manner as you will answer the questions if you need to reset your password in the future.
- Click on Save once you have finished.
- To edit these questions and answers in the future, complete steps 1-3 above and simply overwrite the questions and answers that had been previously saved.
How to reset your password
To reset your password:
- If you cannot remember your password and need to reset it, click on Forgot Password? on the XPLAN login page.
- You will next be asked to enter your Used ID in the User ID field. Once you have entered this, click on Next on the right hand corner of this screen.
- Click on Password Reset Code to retrieve your password reset code. This code will be emailed to your email address (the email address that has been set in XPLAN). Upon receipt of this code, enter it in the field below and click on Next.
- You will now be directed to answer your custom questions. Enter your answers (as originally set) and click on Next.
- If the answers you have entered were correct and successful, you will be prompted to enter a new password. Enter the new password and click on Reset. You have now reset your password and can login to XPLAN successfully.
