Client Management - Client Searching: Quick Search

Quick Search Overview

The purpose of this guide is to provide you with instructions on how to perform a Quick Search in XPLAN.

XPLAN stores client data within a powerful database, which allows for much flexibility accessing client details. Using the Quick Search criteria, client lists can be easily generated.

 

Quick Search

Quick Search is accessible on the application menu in all pages with XPLAN. By default it searches for client entities, however it can also be used to find other entities by:

  • In the Search box on the application menu, click the icon, then select the entity type you want to search for from the menu. Quick search can search for the following entities:

  • In the Search box, type the search criteria, then press Enter.

 

Client Search Prefixes

When searching for Clients, by default the entered search term is used to search for clients by name. Prefixes allows searching across alternative parts of the client file.

  • In the Search box on the application menu, enter the relevant Prefix, followed by the search criteria.

  • Hit Enter on your keyboard.

 

 You can use the following prefixes to search client details:

Client Unique ID

No prefix

2963 will find the client that has the unique ID "2963".

Telephone Number    

tel:

ph:

tel:03 will find all telephone numbers containing "03"

Postcode

pcode:

pcode:3000 will find all clients with "3000" postcode

Street Address

add:Collins will find all clients with "Collins" in their street details

Suburb

sub:

s:

sub:melb will find all suburbs containing "melb"

Email  

em:

e:

em:iress will find all email addresses containing "iress"

Business Partner

business_partner:           

Returns all entities that have the searched entity as a Business Partner. Searching is by Entity ID. For example, if Frank Black is a business partner of the Test Partnership, searching business_partner:[Frank Black's Entity ID] will return Test Partnership.

Client Online Access Username

coa:

coa:123456 will return the client with 123456 as their Client Online Access username

IOS

ios:

ios:xxx to search for clients whose linked IOS account code contains "xxx".

IPS External Account

ips:

ips:xxx to search for clients whose System Datafeed IPS External Account contains "xxx".

Client Focus Account

cfa:

cfa:xxx to search for clients whose System Datafeed Client Focus Account contains "xxx".

External ID

exid:   

exid:123456 to search for clients whose [Key Details] External Identifier field is 123456
