Client Focus Preferences Overview
The purpose of this guide is to providing instructions on managing your Client Focus preferences.
How to Access your Client Focus Preferences
From the Title Bar at the top of the screen:
- To edit your Client Focus preferences, you firstly need to click on the Preferences link within XPLAN
- Click on the Client Focus menu item to view the submenu. In this menu you can perform the following:

Client Field Formatting Options - allows the text in the clients Address Title and Salutation field to be automatically generated based on your individual user settings.

Listing Options Field - allow you to select how many items will be listed for certain options. For instance, you can select how many clients are displayed per page when searching clients or users etc.

Search Options - allows you to select which type of clients you can select when searching for clients. These defaults also control the entities that are visible when using IMAP.

Client Fields on Client Focus Title - allows you to select additional information that can appear on the Client Focus pages next to the entities name such as the clients age or category etc.
Client Field Formatting Options
The user settings for the client Salutations and Address Titles will override any System Settings.
If the fields in User Setting - Client Field Formatting Options are left blank, XPLAN will use the System Setting which is currently set to manual.
It is important to note that the user settings field will only apply to individual entities and not companies, SMSF's etc.
- If you wish to apply you own Salutation and Address Title preferences please refer to the example on the screen for the data that needs to be entered into these fields, depending on your preference.

- Click Save to save your settings
Listing Options

Entity Name Display - this field allows you to select how the entities names are displayed in the client lists. The default option here is Surname followed by the First Name

Clients per Listing Page - this field allows you to select how many entities will be displayed per page on the client lists

Users per Listing Page - this field allows you to select how many users will be displayed per page when viewing User Lists. Note that only the XPLAN Champion can set users and only those in your practice

Prof Advisers per Listing Page - this field allows you to select how many Professional Advisers will be displayed per page when viewing the Professional Adviser Lists

Referrers per Listing Page - this field allows you to select how many Referrers will be displayed per page when viewing the Referrers Lists

Suppliers per Listing Page - this field allows you to select how many Suppliers will be displayed per page when viewing Supplier Lists

Phone Number - Displays a telephone icon next to the clients preferred telephone number. The icon can be used as a hyperlink to dial the clients number using web or IP based telephone systems.
Search Options
The options in this section allows you to select the client type that you can search by. Ensure you click Save at the top of the screen after you have selected the search options.
Quick Search
Quick Search allows you to select the options you want available under Quick Search.
Fields on Client Focus Title
Fields added to the Fields on Client Focus Title, will add client fields to the top of the client focus fields.
