Client Dashboard Configuration Overview
The purpose of this lesson is to provide instructions on how to access and configure the Client Dashboard. The Client Dashboard can be configured to display specific client information which will allow you to view a quick snapshot of the client data.
When you first start using XPLAN your Client Dashboard will will be set to a system default and will display like the following screen.
As a new user, you may take some time to decide how you want to configure your Client Dashboard. Use this information as a guide to set up your own Client Dashboard.
XPLAN Champions may need to help other staff in the practice set up their Client Dashboards. You can use this information as a reference.

How to Access the Client Dashboard

- Whilst in the client record, locate and click on the Client Summary option in the client menu. The menu will expand.
- Locate and click on Client Dashboard. You will be taken to the Client Dashboard screen.
Understanding the Client Dashboard

The Client Dashboard can be adjusted to display the client information you require for quick and easy access. The Client Dashboard screen is displayed by Tabs, and within each Tab widgets are displayed.

Tabs - can be set up for individual clients. For example, you could create a Tab for Main, Portfolios, Tasks etc

Widgets - can be set up in each Tab to display the information you require. For example, in the Portfolios Tab you could set up a widget for Asset Allocation vs Target, Client Recent Transactions etc.
How to Add a Tab

To add a new Tab to Clients Dashboard:
- Click on the Down Arrow in the Tab you are currently in. A submenu will appear.
- Click on the Add Tab menu option. A pop up box will appear, Add New Tab.
Name your Tab

- Enter the Title of the Tab. In this example we are creating a Tab called Client Focus
- Click OK.

The Client Focus Tab you have created will now be available in the Client's Dashboard.
How to Edit a Tab

- Click on the Down Arrow within the Tab you wish to edit. A submenu will appear.
- Click on Edit Tab to edit the name and number of columns within a Tab.
- Click on Add Tab to add a new Tab.
- Click on Remove Tab to delete the Tab you have selected.
- Click on Load System Default to restore the widgets to the default settings. Please note if you select this option, any Tabs and widgets you have created will be deleted.
- Click on Save as User Default to save a customised Client Dashboard. You can then use the customised user default in another Clients Dashboard.
How to Add a

- Select the Tab you would like to add a widget to. In this example we have selected the Client Focus Tab we have just created.
- Click on the Down Arrow within the Tab. A submenu will appear.
- Click on the Add Widget Menu option. A pop up box will appear, Add New Widget.
Choose the Widget from the Drop Down Box

- Click on the Widgets drop down box to display a list of Widgets available.
- Select the Widget for the information you wish to display. In this example we have selected "Current Asset Allocation".
- Click OK.

- In the example we have used, enter the name you wish to call the widget in the Caption field.
- Select if you wish to include other entities related to the client in the asset allocation.
- Click OK.
Name your Widget

The widget you have just created will be displayed in the Tab you have created it in. In this example, the client and their related entities current asset allocation will appear in the Portfolios Tab.
You can add more tabs/widgets by repeating the steps outlined above.
How to Edit a Widget

Locate the Widget you wish to edit in the Tab:
- Click on the Cogwheel Icon and a submenu will appear.
- Click on Edit Settings to edit the criteria for the widget.
- Click on Delete this widget if you wish to delete the widget from the page.
- Click on Minimise this widget to minimise the details displayed in this widget.
- To rearrange/move the widget within a Tab, right click on the title of the widget and drag and drop the widget in the new location.
