Portfolio Report Favorites Overview
The purpose of this lesson is to provide information on how to help the users in your practice set their own favourite Portfolio Reports
XPLAN has a large number Portfolio reports to choose from. You will need to work with the planner to review and isolate the Portfolio Reports that you believe will be used frequently. For example, a portfolio valuation or an asset allocation report with chart and tables may be something the planner will want to access on a regular basis.
XPLAN Champions may need to help other users set up their Portfolio Report Favourites for quick and easy retrieval.
How to Access Portfolio Reports

Whilst in the client record:
- Locate and click on Portfolios in the client menu. The menu op ons will expand.
- Click on Reports. The menu will expand.
- Click on Reports. You will be taken to a screen that will display the Report List.
Report List

- To add a report to your favourite list click on the tick box beside the report. You can then search for your favourite report next me you generate a portfolio report by selecting Favourites in the Category field.
- To select the report options click on the down arrow beside the report you are generating and a Report Options pop up box will appear.
- Report Options - select the Report Timeframe from the options available for the report you are generating.
- Report Options - select how you would like to sort the report in the Report Sorting field. You can sort by owner, security, exchange or market value.
- Report Options - select how the investments are to be grouped in the report in the Report Grouping field.
- Report Options - click Save.
- The options you have selected for your Report Options will be show in the Summary of Options column. Please Note: the options available in the Report Options fields will be different for each report, depending on the type of report you are generating.
