CommPay Policies Mapped to the Wrong Client Overview
Has a CommPay policy been mapped to the wrong XPLAN client? Follow our practical guide on how to locate the XPLAN client to which the CommPay policy was incorrectly mapped to, so you can re-map it to the correct XPLAN client.
How do I re-map a CommPay policy mapped to the wrong XPLAN client?
There are two steps in the process of re-mapping a CommPay policy to another XPLAN client:
- Locate the XPLAN client to which the CommPay policy was incorrectly mapped to, using the policy (or account) number for the product.
- Re-map the CommPay policy to the correct XPLAN client.
Reminder: When a CommPay policy is re-mapped, the policy and all underlying revenues will be removed from the original XPLAN client and mapped to the new XPLAN client. Future revenues for the CommPay policy also be automatically mapped to the new XPLAN client record. |
Step 1: Locate the XPLAN client to which the CommPay policy was incorrectly mapped to
To locate the XPLAN client the CommPay policy was incorrectly mapped to:
- Go to XPLAN > Administration Functions > CommPay:

- From the menu on the left-hand side, select Policies.
- In the Search Filter panel, enter the Policy Number and click Search (at the top right-hand corner of the screen):

- The CommPay policies will be displayed in the Search Results panel. Scroll this panel to the right to locate the Client and Client ID columns, which will display the XPLAN client to which the CommPay policy was mapped to:
Step 2: Re-map the CommPay policy to the correct XPLAN client
To re-map the CommPay policy to the correct XPLAN client:
- Search for and select the XPLAN client to which the CommPay policy was incorrectly mapped to:

- In the Client Menu, go to Fees > CommPay. CommPay policies mapped to the Client and Partner will be displayed.
- For the Group By filter, select (No Grouping) and click Search:

- Locate the CommPay policy to be re-mapped and click on the edit icon in the Action column:

- In the Lodgement Details tab, click on the edit icon for the Client field:

- Enter the name of the correct XPLAN client and click the search icon:

- When - Select a client - is displayed in the Client field, select the correct XPLAN client from the dropdown list:

- Click Save.
