Administration - Email: Uploading an Email to the Document Library

How to Upload an Outlook email to the Document Library 

Before you can upload an email from Outlook into the Document Library of XPLAN you need to ensure that the Outlook Plugin has been installed. See here for instructions. 

  1. Within Outlook, right click on the email you wish to save in the Xplan Document Library and select option File to XPLAN

  1. The Select Clients To File Email Against dialogue box will now appear. Use the Client Search Criteria and/or Additional Client Status to search for the client that the note will be linked to.


  1. In the Document Settings section of the dialogue box, set the Note Type, Subtype, and the access Permissions for within XPLAN. 


  1. Once completed, click on OK
  1. A copy of the email will now be uploaded to the XPLAN Document Library.
