XPLAN Version Enhancements (Version 21.5.171)
General Enhancements
VIDEO MEETING (ZOOM) INTEGRATION
For advisers who want to be digitally empowered and accessible for their clients, this integration extends functionality to include zoom video meeting, further extending the available options and integrations with Xplan. We have simplified the integration process to allow site administrators to enable this integration, allowing you to opt in to integrate Zoom and Xplan if you want. Further information from Iress is available by clicking here.
From Version 21.5.169, there is a new ability to schedule a zoom meeting on behalf of another XPLAN user. Every user in the attendee list is now the alternative host if their zoom account meets the below criteria. This allows all participants to act like an alternative host, providing the same functionality as if they had created the meeting (both diary and video meeting modal).
- Has activated the Zoom integration in their XPLAN login;
- Zoom account is under the same account of the organiser's Zoom account; and
- Zoom account is a licensed account.

With the new legislation commencing from 1 July 2021, Iress has built on the core functionality that was introduced in January 2021. The previously released functionality that was developed based on the draft legislation is now standard and no longer requires activation within System Settings. We are currently reviewing the use of the new Opt-in & Fee Consent Xplan element and will update you further on its introduction to yoru XPLAN site.
Portfolio Enhancements
ASSET CLASS DISPLAY ORDER
You are now able to define the order in which your businesses view asset classes within Xplan Portfolio screens (e.g: Defensive Asset Classes are listed first, with the asset classes themselves listed in a defined order).
The Asset Class rows in the Details table can be re-ordered by selecting the row you wish to reorder and:
Note: The # column in the Asset Class Details table denotes the existing Xplan Asset Class ID information and does not represent the display order.
The defined display order is applied to Asset Class groupings in the following tables:
Xplan Portfolios In-focus Holdings - Any grouping that includes ‘Asset Class’ will honour the above order.
Xplan Portfolios In-focus Proposed - Any grouping that includes ‘Asset Class’ will honour the above order.
Xplan Portfolios Hub Bulk Rebalance - The display order will be applied to this table when the Asset Class column is dynamically grouped.
Xplan Portfolios In-focus Account Allocation tables.
The defined display order is applied to the Asset Class rows in the following table:
Client >Risk Profiling > Investment > Investor Investment Profile.
ENHANCEMENTS TO HOLDINGS AND PROPOSED SCREENS
The following fields have been added to the Account Group/Portfolio infocus holdings/proposed screens, to assist with investment decisions:

The User can select to show the differences only or all research. Research filter can return results by Client, Partner or Combined:
The Compare Research page is optional and can be disabled by going to WealthSolver > Settings > Interface > Compare Research Page.
CASHFLOW VISUALISE
Cashflow Visualise is a new presentation layer that allows advisers to have a better conversation with their clients. It is meant to be simple in a modern interface, with enough functionality to make this interactive with the client. This is underpinned by the modelling calculations that our clients trust from Xtools+. There will be different visuals (charts, tables and infographics) that will match the adviser theming and best of all this will also look in a report exactly like it is on screen.
This new presentation layer will be accessible through Xplan and will over time be integrated to the Xplan’s guided advice interface (Prime) so that advisers can quickly and easily create a base scenario in minutes. Iress has an integrated Client Portal with a fact-find from which information flows through to Xplan and to the Cashflow Visualise screen, allowing advisers and paraplanners to benefit from a truly integrated solution.
Cashflow Visualise is built on modern software architecture in the cloud (AWS), it is secure, reliable and will have regular updates to extend the functionality and delight advisers. One of these updates we are excited to bring you is the addition of infographics which will help crystalise the client situation at a point in time.
CASHFLOW SCENARIO ADJUSTMENTS: Chart and Scenario Adjustments
A new Scenario Adjustments side panel has been added to Cashflow Visualise to enable quick and easy adjustments to a scenario while you are presenting.
You can access Scenario Adjustments via the top left corner of the Cashflow Visualise screen and from there, adjust the following variables:
Retirement Age
Living Costs
Investment Strategy
Market Crash
To enable Cashflow Visualise toggle, the Cashflow Visualise toggle can be turned on for the
applicable user group via Admin > Site
Settings > System Settings > Labs
CASHFLOW VISUALISE: Reports Match the Presentation
We
have added the following innovations to the Cashflow Visualise Interface to
enable the advice presented to your client to match the statement of advice
(report of advice provided to the client) and improve the process of producing
these documents:
All screens within the Cashflow Visualise interface are available
in Xmerge. This means that all components are available (charts, tables
and infographics), as are any interactions within these components (show
breakdown, expand table view, hide series, zoom) .
You
can then use Xmerge variables to manipulate the generated code to fit within
your advice document to achieve consistent results.
CALM: Import Property Expenses
You
can now import Property Expenses from Client Focus, in addition to various
other Property details which were already being imported, such as Description,
Name, Value, Cost Base, Rental Income and Homeowner Status for the first
Primary Residence entered. Note that the Property Expenses are only treated as
tax deductible when there is Property Income (Rent).
SCENARIO ADJUSTMENT MARKET CRASH
A new market crash scenario adjustment is available as part of the scenario adjustments list. This is for advisers who want to have a conversation with their clients about the potential volatility of their investments and how they may need to make lifestyle changes based on market returns.
To change the settings of the Market Crash go to
the scenario in Xtools > Input > Investment
Returns and select the Market Crash tab.
NEEDS ANALYSIS: Default Risk Profile
When a new scenario is created in Needs Analysis, the calculations will now default to the risk profiles that have been set for the Client and Partner in Client Focus.
