Improvements to Retirement Income Import

CALM now imports more Account Based Pension details from Client Focus, including:
  1. Income Indexation
  2. Provider Name
  3. Social Security Deductible Amount
  4. Reversionary Status

Improvements to Transition to Retirement (TTR) Import

CALM now imports more Transition to Retirement (TTR) Pension details from Client Focus. Previously TTR pensions were imported but they were incorrectly categorised as a term annuity.

Improvements to Tax Information Import

CALM now imports client and partner's Non Resident Tax Status.

Improvements to Liability Import

CALM now imports more liability details from Client Focus:
  1. If you enter the package/product name into client focus, it will be used as a description
  2. Interest only loans and Principal and Interest loans are imported. If you do not enter a repayment type into client focus, CALM will assume the liability is Principal and Interest.
  3. When you enter the liability start date and loan term into client focus (leaving end date blank), CALM calculates and models the remaining term of the loan.
When other income - non-taxable has been entered into client focus, CALM now imports this as non-taxable (Centrelink exempt) income. Previously, it was imported as Self-Employment income.

Improvements to Asset Import

CALM now imports the CGT cost base of a financial asset from Client Focus, along with other details of the financial asset.

Import Liability Linked to Asset/Property

When a liability is imported from Client Focus, CALM now imports the financial asset or property that is assigned as security in Client Focus as the associated asset.

Improvements to Lifetime Pension Import

CALM now imports defined benefit pensions from Client Focus. Defined benefit pensions can be entered into Client Focus as an existing plan/lifetime pension.

Defined benefit pensions can be manually entered into CALM in 2 different ways:
1. At INPUT > INDIVIDUAL > DEFINED BENEFIT; or
2. At INPUT > INDIVIDUAL > PENSIONS > ACCOUNT.
Imported defined benefit pensions will appear at INPUT > INDIVIDUAL > PENSIONS > ACCOUNT.

Improvements to Child Import

CALM scenario now imports a child's preferred name instead of their first name (if it has been entered into Client Focus). Family Tax Benefits A & B are also calculated by default when child details are imported, with energy supplement excluded.

Improvements to Cashflow Income Import

When income data is imported from client focus, the indexation (e.g. AWOTE or CPI) is now imported as well.

Client Focus

Custom Fonts now supported in Iress Cloud Platform

Custom fonts are now available to Cloud sites. Custom fonts allow you to use customised fonts on your site merging reports. System Administrators will be able to manage custom fonts in XPLAN System Settings for Iress cloud platform sites. Users will then be able to run reports against the custom fonts.

  1. Native Currency - all orders will have its native currency populated when an order is created;

XPLAN Fixes

XTOOLS+/CALM
When a projection was being commenced part way through the financial year and previous salary sacrifice contributions were entered, the salary sacrificed amount was being overstated in Taxation calculations. This has now been corrected.
When an SMSF Account Based Pension was commenced, an individual's transfer balance account was being repeatedly credited each year. SMSF account based pension commencement now credits the transfer balance account once only, at commencement.

CLIENT FOCUS
An issue preventing insurance policies from being saved in Cloud sites has been fixed.

PORTFOLIOS
With this fix, the position resourceful API will not return an error if the position ID is valid, even though it may not have any transactions associated with it.
With this fix, the issue of missing files in the final zip file when running the mass merge report has been resolved for account group merge steps. The temporary clean up night job will not clear the results if there is a job in progress.
With this fix, the performance issue when accessing the portfolio position screen has been resolved. XPLAN now recognises if the IOS+ server has been disabled and will not attempt to communicate with it.
