Improvements to Transition to Retirement (TTR) Import
CALM now imports more Transition to Retirement (TTR) Pension details from Client Focus. Previously TTR pensions were imported but they were incorrectly categorised as a term annuity.
CALM now imports client and partner's Non Resident Tax Status.
Improvements to Liability Import
CALM now imports more liability details from Client Focus:
- If you enter the package/product name into client focus, it will be used as a description
- Interest only loans and Principal and Interest loans are imported. If you do not enter a repayment type into client focus, CALM will assume the liability is Principal and Interest.
- When you enter the liability start date and loan term into client focus (leaving end date blank), CALM calculates and models the remaining term of the loan.
Import Non-Taxable Income as Non-Taxable Centrelink Exempt
When other income - non-taxable has been entered into client focus, CALM now imports this as non-taxable (Centrelink exempt) income. Previously, it was imported as Self-Employment income.
Improvements to Asset Import
CALM now imports the CGT cost base of a financial asset from Client Focus, along with other details of the financial asset.
Import Liability Linked to Asset/Property
When a liability is imported from Client Focus, CALM now imports the financial asset or property that is assigned as security in Client Focus as the associated asset.
Improvements to Lifetime Pension Import
CALM now imports defined benefit pensions from Client Focus. Defined benefit pensions can be entered into Client Focus as an existing plan/lifetime pension.
Defined benefit pensions can be manually entered into CALM in 2 different ways:
1. At INPUT > INDIVIDUAL > DEFINED BENEFIT; or
2. At INPUT > INDIVIDUAL > PENSIONS > ACCOUNT.
Imported defined benefit pensions will appear at INPUT > INDIVIDUAL > PENSIONS > ACCOUNT.
Improvements to Child Import
CALM scenario now imports a child's preferred name instead of their first name (if it has been entered into Client Focus). Family Tax Benefits A & B are also calculated by default when child details are imported, with energy supplement excluded.
Improvements to Cashflow Income Import
When income data is imported from client focus, the indexation (e.g. AWOTE or CPI) is now imported as well.
Client Focus
Custom fonts are now available to Cloud sites. Custom fonts allow you to use customised fonts on your site merging reports. System Administrators will be able to manage custom fonts in XPLAN System Settings for Iress cloud platform sites. Users will then be able to run reports against the custom fonts.
Portfolios
Additional Data on Orders to Support Trading Unlisted Securities
XPLAN now has the following additional details to the orders to support processing of unlisted orders in vendor systems and is applicable for the orders that are submitted using Quick Trade/New Order screen, including bulk orders:
- Native Currency - all orders will have its native currency populated when an order is created;
- ISIN and SEDOL - all orders for unlisted securities will have ISIN and SEDOl Execution Instructions (XIs) populated if they are supported in the respective order destinations in IOS+

When a projection was being commenced part way through the financial year and previous salary sacrifice contributions were entered, the salary sacrificed amount was being overstated in Taxation calculations. This has now been corrected. |
When an SMSF Account Based Pension was commenced, an individual's transfer balance account was being repeatedly credited each year. SMSF account based pension commencement now credits the transfer balance account once only, at commencement.
