CommPay Back Office and Xplan are 2 separate systems. The CommPay module within Xplan allows you to access CommPay Back Office data (including payrun reporting and transactions) however if you would like to view your revenue data in line with your xplan client data, a mapping process must be completed.
This process can be quite time consuming initially, but once the initial load is completed it will just need regular maintenance of mapping new policies.
To access Commpay click XPLAN – Administration Functions – CommPay
For the initial client mapping:
From the CommPay Menu select Mapping – Client Map Automated
Select the adviser you’d like to complete the mapping for then click Perform Mapping – Perform Mapping
You will get this pop up asking if you’d like to complete a client upload. This function is automatically completed every night however still click yes.
Once Complete a list of the Unmapped clients will appear. These are entries where the auto mapping process could not find a direct match. These entries will need to be mapped manually.
From the CommPay menu choose Mapping – Client Map
Filter on the adviser you wish to complete mapping for and click search
Scroll down.
In the CommPay clients section a list of the unmapped clients will appear.
Click the drop down arrow next to the client name and click ‘seek match’
A list of clients with a similar name will appear in the Xplan clients section:
If you believe the client is a match, tick the boxes next to the client in both the CommPay Clients and Xplan Clients sections:
Scroll back up and click Match
Continue this process until you have mapped all the clients you can.
For any you are unsure of, email the adviser and ask which clients they would like the CommPay clients mapped too.
If they do not want the COmmPay client mapped to an xplan client, you can set this to ‘No Mapping Required’ by using the drop down box next to the clients name:
