FSG information in the Current FSG panel at Advice Process > FSG.
Furthermore, when a client’s FSG information is updated, each change is captured and displayed in the FSG History panel.
Follow our practical guide on how to capture and update FSG information for:
- An individual Client and their Partner
- For groups for clients in bulk (Practice Champions only)
Capture FSG Information for an Individual Client
To record the FSG issued to an individual Client and their Partner:
- Locate the master client’s (or entity’s) record in your XPLAN CRM.
- Go to Advice Process > FSG .
- Click Edit.
- To record the FSG Part 1 issued to the client:

Version Number: Select the FSG version issued to the client.

Date FSG Provided: Enter the date the FSG was issued to the client.
- To record the Adviser Profile (FSG Part 2) issued to the client:

Adviser Profile: Enter the version issued to the client.

Adviser Profile Date Provided: Enter the date the Adviser Profile was issued to the client.
- Select the Method Of Delivery: Email, Face to Face or Mail.
- Click Save.
- The FSG information recorded will be displayed in the Current FSG panel.
- All FSG information recorded to date for the client will also be displayed in the FSG History panel. These records cannot be amended or deleted.
- To record the FSG issued to the Partner (if required):
- Click View Partner (in the top right-hand corner).
- Repeat steps 3 to 7 above.
- Click View Client to return to the Client’s record.
Capture FSG information for groups of clients
Your Practice Champion can record FSG information for groups of clients in bulk. The steps for updating FSG information as required for a group of clients in bulk are:
- Generate your list of clients.
- When the latest FSG Part 1 has been issued:
- Record the Version Number.
- Record the Date FSG Provided.
- When the latest Adviser Profile (FSG Part 2) has been issued:
- Record the Adviser Profile issued.
- Record the Adviser Profile Date Provided.
- Record the Method of Delivery (if not issued via Email).
Step 1: Generate your list of clients
Entire list of your clients
To generate a list of all your clients:
- Click List and then Entire List in the search area of the Title Bar (at the top righthand corner of the screen):
- A complete list of your clients will be displayed in the Search Result section.
List of targeted clients
To generate a targeted list of clients:
- Click Advanced in the search area of the Title Bar (at the top right-hand corner of the screen):
- Click Advanced Search (at the top of the list of saved Advanced Searches).
- Click Add (in the top right-hand corner). The Add Search Criteria window will be displayed.
- In the Field or Group tab, select the options required. For example, to generate a list of clients that haven’t been issued the latest FSG:

Field Group: Entity.
-
Field: [FSG] Version Number.
-
Operation: Not Equal.
-
Value: Latest FSG version number
- Click Add.
If you require additional search criteria, each item will need to be added separately. To do this, click Add More and add your criteria as required.
- Click Search.
- A list of clients that meet the Advanced Search criteria will be displayed in the Search Result section.
Step 2: Record the latest FSG Part 1 issued to your clients
Step 2a: Record the Version Number
To record the Version Number of the FSG issued to your clients:
- In the Search Result panel, select the clients to be updated, as applicable:
- If no clients are selected (ticked), all clients will be updated.
- If some clients are selected (ticked), only the selected clients will be updated.
- Go to Functions > Modify All.
- This menu item will only be visible to Practice Champions with the ‘Modify Anything to All Clients’ capability.
- In Power Functions, make the following selections:

Target Clients: All Listed Clients or Only Selected Clients (as required).

Function: Change… To...
-
Parameters: [FSG] Version Number > Latest version number
- Click Run.
- The modifications will be generated by a background process. Click OK.
- When the modifications have completed processing, click to display the new system message.
Step 2b: Record the Date FSG Provided
To record the date the FSG was issued to your clients:
- In the Search Result panel, select the clients to be updated, as applicable:
- If no clients are selected (ticked), all clients will be updated.
- If some clients are selected (ticked), only the selected clients will be updated.
- Go to Functions > Modify All.
- This menu item will only be visible to Practice Champions with the ‘Modify Anything to All Clients’ capability.
- In Power Functions, make the following selections:

Target Clients: All Listed Clients or Only Selected Clients (as required).

Function: Change… To...
-
Parameters: [FSG] Date FSG Provided > Enter date FSG issued
- Click Run.
- The modifications will be generated by a background process. Click OK.
- When the modifications have completed processing, click to display the new system message.
Step 3: Record the latest FSG Part 2 (Adviser Profile) issued to your clients
Step 3a: Record the Adviser Profile
To record the Adviser Profile issued to your clients:
- In the Search Result panel, select the clients to be updated, as applicable:
- If no clients are selected (ticked), all clients will be updated.
- If some clients are selected (ticked), only the selected clients will be updated.
- Go to Functions > Modify All.
- This menu item will only be visible to Practice Champions with the ‘Modify Anything to All Clients’ capability.
- In Power Functions, make the following selections:

Target Clients: All Listed Clients or Only Selected Clients (as required).

Parameters: [FSG] Adviser Profile > Enter the date of Adviser Profile
- Click Run.
- The modifications will be generated by a background process. Click OK.
- When the modifications have completed processing, click to display the new system message.
Step 3b: Record the Adviser Profile Date Provided
To record the date the Adviser Profile was issued to your clients:
- In the Search Result panel, select the clients to be updated, as applicable:
- If no clients are selected (ticked), all clients will be updated.
- If some clients are selected (ticked), only the selected clients will be updated.
- Go to Functions > Modify All.
- This menu item will only be visible to Practice Champions with the ‘Modify Anything to All Clients’ capability.
- 3. In Power Functions, make the following selections:

Parameters: [FSG] Adviser Profile Date Provided > Enter date Adviser Profile issued
- Click Run.

Step 4: Record the Method of Delivery (if not issued via Email)
When recording FSG information for groups of clients in bulk, the default Method of Delivery recorded is Email.
To record issue of the FSG via Mail or Face to Face to a group of clients:
- In the Search Result panel, select the clients to be updated, as applicable:
- If no clients are selected (ticked), all clients will be updated.
- If some clients are selected (ticked), only the selected clients will be updated.
- Go to Functions > Modify All.
- This menu item will only be visible to Practice Champions with the ‘Modify Anything to All Clients’ capability.
- In Power Functions, make the following selections:

- Click Run
