Client Management - Client Administration: Categories

Client Categories Overview

The purpose of this guide is to provide instructions on using Categories in XPLAN. Client Category Overview Client Categories can be updated for clients at any point in the Advice Process. You would access Client Categories to record or update the status / category of your client.

 

How to Change the Client Category

Whilst in the client record:

  • Locate and click on the Client Summary menu item. The menu options will expand.
  • Click on the Client Snapshot menu option. You will be taken to the Client’s Details screen within XPLAN.
  • Click Edit.
  • Click on the down arrow in the Category field and a submenu will appear. Select the clients category.

  • Click Save.

 

How to Use the Client Category

The client's category field can be used to filter client search results. For example, if you wanted to merge a bulk mail out for all clients in a category, you can filter the client list to display only clients that are in this category. 

  • The Category field can be used when searching via either of the following options:
    • Entire List
    • Last Search
    • Advanced Search

  • Within the Search Results screen, you are able to filter the search results by selecting an option within the Category field
